INDIA DAY – 2022

 India Association of Rhode island  (IARI) Team is excited to celebrate India’s 76th Independence Day at the South Park of the RI State House, 82 Smith Street, Providence, RI 02903 on August 13th, 2022.

The stage is set to come together and celebrate the Indian diaspora in Rhode Island. It will be a fun and exciting evening filled with music dance & food. This event will showcase a variety of performances such as traditional folk dances, classical dances, contemporary dances, and Bollywood dances…

Selection Waiver & Decision: Due to high volume of submission in IARI India Day, your submission is not a guaranteed selection. The committee will review each submission for the content and quality before approval. The Cultural Committee’s decision on the selection of entries is the Final decision. You will be notified of your status of selection by email.

• Please see below for detailed rules.
• Each group should submit a short video through email to events@indiari.org (it may or may not be exact item you plan to perform) for evaluation by the IARI Cultural Committee. Please see key dates below:
•     a.      July 30th  – Deadline for online submission of forms and videos along with MP3 (links to YouTube videos or any other formats) for evaluation. No entry will be accepted after this deadline.
•     b.      July 31st – IARI Cultural Committee will communicate selection of group by email.
• Submissions must be sent through this Registration Form only.
• Each entry must have at least 4 participants. Solo performances are not permitted.
• A group is allowed to perform only in one item except for Classical dance performance.
• Groups can perform for not more than 4.00 +1:00 minutes. If your entry requires a longer time, please contact the cultural committee.
• Submissions with missing information will be considered incomplete and will not be considered for review. 
• IARI does not allow duplication of songs. So if any duplication occurs (where more than one group is using the same song), songs will be allowed on a first submission basis, upon selection.
• The Cultural Committee’s decision of the performing groups’ selection will be final.
• Additional details on next steps will be communicated.
