DESCRIPTION: India Association of Rhode island (IARI) Team is excited to celebrate India’s 78th Independence Day at the South Park of the RI State House, 82 Smith Street, Providence, RI 02903 on August 11th, 2024.\nThe stage is set to come together and celebrate the Indian diaspora in Rhode Island. It will be a fun and exciting evening filled with music dance & food. This event will showcase a variety of performances such as traditional folk dances, classical dances, contemporary dances, and Bollywood dances…\nTo participate in the event please see below for detailed rules.\nSelection Waiver & Decision: Due to high volume of submission in IARI India Day, your submission is not a guaranteed selection. The committee will review each submission for the content and quality before approval. The Cultural Committee’s decision on the selection of entries is the Final decision. You will be notified of your status of selection by email. \nFor any questions or queries, contact IARI Cultural team at events@indiari.org \n\nPlease see below for detailed rules.\nEach group should submit a short video through email to events@indiari.org (it may or may not be exact item you plan to perform) for evaluation by the IARI Cultural Committee. Please see key dates below:\n a. July 19th – Deadline for online submission of forms and videos along with MP3 (links to YouTube videos or any other formats) for evaluation. No entry will be accepted after this deadline.\n b. August 1st – IARI Cultural Committee will communicate selection of group by email.\nSubmissions must be sent through this Registration Form only.\nEach entry must have at least 3 participants. Solo performances are not permitted.\nA group is allowed to perform only in one item except for Classical dance performance.\nPerformance time has decided based on the group size:Minimum 3-4 participants- 3 minutes max.
